The initiative reflects the shared vision between NU and RRR Advice: improving community well-being through education, empowerment, and sustainable practices that respect both religious values and humane treatment of animals.
Promoting Ethical and Sustainable Poultry Practices
The training covered essential aspects such as:
- Halal principles and Islamic ethics
- Animal welfare and proper poultry handling
- Hygiene, equipment standards, and safe processing practices
- Economic development opportunities within the halal ecosystem
Representing RRR Advice Netherlands and Changemakers Network Indonesia, Ustadz Hendry Hidayat guided participants through halal principles and community-focused sustainability, ensuring alignment between religious requirements, humane treatment, and ethical responsibilities.
Participants from across Indonesia gained practical insights into improving poultry well-being, ensuring responsible handling, and meeting both Islamic and health standards.
