The LOI was officially signed by Drs. H. Imron Rosyadi, M.Ag., Regent of Cirebon, and Mr. Damy Matheus Heezenaffiliate of the Changemakers Network and representative of RRR Advice B.V.

This milestone was made possible through the dedication of Mr. Hendry Hidayat, a local Changemaker who initiated and facilitated the partnership between the Cirebon government and our international sustainability community.

A Movement Rooted in Collaboration

This partnership embodies what the Changemakers Network stands for — connecting people, governments, and innovators to create real, lasting impact.

By combining local knowledge from Cirebon with Dutch expertise in sustainable infrastructure, the cooperation turns shared ambitions into practical action for communities, nature, and future generations.

Together, we aim to help Cirebon become a leading example of inclusive and sustainable development in Indonesia, where every initiative strengthens both environmental balance and social wellbeing.

What the Cooperation Covers

  1. Water Management
Development of seawater desalination for industrial use, sustainable salt production with downstream value-added processing, and flood-control measures that enhance agricultural and inland fishery resilience.
  2. Waste Management
Implementation of circular waste-management systems for inorganic, organic, and hazardous (B3) waste, promoting both environmental safety and local economic value.
  3. Capacity Building for Civil Servants (ASN)
Delivery of bilingual training programs led by Mr. Damy Matheus Heezen and Mr. Richard Ruijtenbeek (Founder of RRR Advice), focusing on leadership, communication, and sustainable infrastructure through the Duurzaam GWW / VISI Indonesia methodology.
  4. Smart City and Regional Planning
Joint development of a shared spatial and economic vision for Cirebon, integrating sustainability, infrastructure, and governance into one coherent planning framework.

From Vision to Action

The upcoming Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), now under national review, will formalize the cooperation and guide implementation across all four program areas.

It sets the stage for long-term collaboration between the Changemakers Network, RRR Advice, and local institutions, ensuring sustainable development becomes both a national priority and a local success story.

  • “Changemakers are the bridge between ideas and action,” said Damy Matheus Heezen, affiliate of the Changemakers Network. “This partnership shows how local leadership and international cooperation can work hand in hand to build a better future.”
  • “We are honored to see our local Changemaker Hendry connecting Cirebon’s vision with global expertise,” added Richard Ruijtenbeek“Together, we prove that sustainable change begins with people who take initiative.”

The signing ceremony took place at the Regent’s Office in Sumber, Kabupaten Cirebon, symbolizing the start of a shared journey — from ambition to implementation, and from local action to global inspiration.
